Not everything the barangay does is a piece of paper. Two of these are filed the same way a certificate is — a form, a reference number, and a message at every stage. The third is a question about you, answered on the spot.

File a complaint

FreeRead during office hours

Noise, rubbish, drainage, stray animals, boundaries, an unpaid debt, a quarrel with a neighbour — or the conduct of the barangay itself. Say what happened and the barangay hall decides which desk it belongs to: mediation, a blotter entry, a repair, or an answer.

Worth knowing

  • Nobody reads the form outside office hours. If somebody is in danger, call — the tanod outpost is staffed around the clock.
  • Mediation under the Katarungang Pambarangay needs a named complainant, so the form asks who is filing. To bring something anonymously, come to the barangay hall.

Fees varyA day's notice

The places the barangay lets people use, and the things it lends out. The booking page carries the whole list with what each one costs. Choose your dates and it shows what is still free before you fill anything in.

Worth knowing

  • Nothing is confirmed until the barangay hall approves it. A request holds the date while it is decided.
  • Fees and any deposit are paid at the treasurer's desk before anything is released.
  • Barangay activities and emergencies come first.

Check the barangay register

FreeAnswered at once

The Record of Barangay Inhabitants is the roll the barangay counts from, plans from and issues certificates against. Type your name and your birthday and the page says whether you are on it — and lets you send in anything against your name that was left blank, or ask to be added if it has never heard of you.

Worth knowing

  • Your name and your birthday both have to match, and a miss is one answer either way — so nobody can read the register down a name at a time.
  • It never shows you what the register holds, and it cannot change anything already written there. Corrections are made at the barangay hall.
  • Nothing you send goes into the register by itself. It waits for the barangay secretary, who rings the number you leave and checks it with you first — so leave a number you answer.
  • Asking to be added is a request, not a registration. Who belongs on the roll is the barangay's own determination, and you are added at the barangay hall — bring a valid ID.

Common questions

Who can request certificates online?

Any resident of Barangay Monte Alegre. Certificates of residency require at least six months of actual residence in the barangay. If you recently moved in, visit the barangay hall first so the secretary can add you to the resident registry.

Can someone claim my certificate for me?

Yes. Your representative should bring a signed authorization letter, a photocopy of your valid ID, and their own valid ID, together with your reference number.

Is the emailed copy an official document?

The emailed copy is a scan of the signed certificate and works for reference and pre-screening. Many agencies still require the original with the dry seal — claim it at the barangay hall any time within office hours.

Do I need a cedula before getting a barangay clearance?

Yes, a Community Tax Certificate for the current year is required. If you don't have one yet, you can get it at the treasurer's desk on the same visit — bring a valid ID.

Where do the fees go?

Fees follow the barangay revenue ordinance and go to the barangay general fund, which finances services like the health station, tanod operations, and purok projects. The treasurer issues an official receipt for every payment.
